Since 1981, the Stark County Hunger Task Force has taken a positive role in battling the hunger needs of the community of Stark County. From what was founded as four food pantries feeding 3,000 people each month, we have grown to over two-dozen pantries, four Senior Pantry program sites, four Backpacks for Kids programs, a Diabetic Pantry, and a Community Campus Pantry who, together, feed a total of 15,000 people every month. All of our services are free to clients who qualify by The Emergency Food Assistance Program income guidelines.
Mission: In any community a number of individuals will experience a crisis during their lifetime in which they are unable to provide adequate food for themselves and their families. It is our goal to depend on the generosity of our neighbors for assistance to satisfy that basic need.
