The Social Change Film Festival and Institute supports filmmakers to be effective social activists and support social activists to be engaging storytellers.
Each year the festival travels to a different site across the globe to create a global community with local presence to promote transformative filmmaking & media that fosters social change through its educational institute.
Our inaugural festival (2011) in Ubud, Bali Indonesia tackled the theme "Women & Film" and was an incredible success! We are gearing up for the 2012 Social Change Film Festival & Institute (SCFFI) in New Orleans, which will focus on the crucial theme of WATER.
Submissions are open! Visit our website to submit your film & help us spread the word!
SCFFI seeks global narrative features and short films that engage with significant global social and environmental issues in unique, creative, educational, and action-inspiring ways. The theme for SCFFI 2012 is “water” and films tackling water-related issues will be featured; however, selected films will not be limited to the theme.
