Skillset is the new name for Central West Group Apprentices, a not for profit organisation, operating for close to 30 years employing Apprentices and Trainees and placing them with Host Employers within the Central West and Western NSW region. Through doing so, we’ve helped to build and retain a skilled workforce within the regional areas in which operate, making a significant contribution to the economic development and viability of our local communities.
Without the support and dedication of their Host Employers, these opportunities to achieve such great things within their Apprenticeship and Traineeships would not be possible.
At the time of the launch of Skillset in 2008, it was felt that there were some sound reasons to retain our apprenticeship and traineeship services under the CWGA brand. However we always considered rebranding the entire organisation to be known as Skillset at some time in the future. That time is now.
Central West Group Apprentices has built us a strong foundation and Skillset will take us into a positive future.
