Shinn & Company LLC President Barack Obama has released his budget proposal for fiscal year 2013. Does this impose any tax benefit or consequences to you or your business? For households with income in excess of $250,000 per year will experience a tax rate increase to 36%. Itemized deductions which many taxpayers benefit from will be limited to a maximum of 28% of the taxpayers liability and personal exemption phase-out will be reinstated. Qualified dividends will be taxed at ordinary income rates and long term capital gains will be taxed at 20%.
