The Runnin' For Rhett Foundation is a non-profit organization (Federal/State Tax ID #26-1419222 - established on December 7, 2007) – Founded in memory of Rhett Seevers, who passed away on March 13th, 2004. Please see website for full story.
The Runnin' For Rhett Foundation provides programs and training to promote lifestyle changes that encourage and motivate individuals to move away from their current obstacles, and toward a life they didn't know they were capable of, all inspired by a young boy with disabilities. Our group now exceeds 650 runners/walkers/volunteers.
The Runnin' For Rhett Foundation provides two annual $5000.00 scholarships to graduates continuing in a Special Education Credentialing Program in Sacramento County, as well as funding elementary school grants to support a fitness and nutrition education program, currently at two Elk Grove schools, with plans to expand the programs in the future with available funding.
The Runnin' For Rhett Foundation was the beneficiary of the Shamrock’n Half Marathon in the spring of 2008, 2009 and 2010
