Rowland Myers has worked in the audio and broadcasting industries for over thirty years as a consultant, trainer, manager, broadcaster, voice artist, composer, arranger, producer, engineer and provider of audio services and solutions.
He has trained producers and presenters for the BBC and for Community and Hospital Radio. He has media-trained staff in businesses and charities that need to get their message across to the public and has taught journalism, production and presentation skills to those wishing to embark on, or continue, a career in ‘the media’.
Rowland’s voice-over work has embraced everything from pop videos and corporate product promotion to talking books and documentaries.
He has worked as a sound designer for events, theatrical productions and stage shows, for which he has also been commissioned to write musical scores. He has written jingles and incidental music for radio stations, telephone answering services and web sites.
Working alongside the UK's vision-impairement charities, Rowland has produced news and information in audio for the benefit of the two million blind and partially-sighted people in the UK who can’t access the printed word and he founded and is Chairman of Trustees of the UK-wide charity Infosound, which provides free and impartial news and information for those who live with sight loss.
