The Research Triangle Park (RTP) is one of the oldest and largest science parks in North America, with a 7,000 acre campus home to more than 170 companies with over 42,000 full-time employees. RTP is a globally prominent high-technology research and development center that serves as an economic driver for Triangle Region. Business development, marketing, and strategy for RTP is managed by the private non-profit Research Triangle Foundation of North Carolina, also referred to as the Research Triangle Park.
