Rebuilding Together San Francisco mobilizes teams of volunteers to repair the homes of low income, senior and disabled homeowners and to renovate nonprofit facilities and schools. Most of our work occurs on National Rebuilding Day - the last Saturday in April - each year. Skilled building professionals supervise teams of volunteers from local businesses and organizations to provide critical repairs and updates free of charge to needy homeowners and nonprofits & schools in underserved neighborhoods.
With the support and involvement of businesses and individuals, Rebuilding Together sets in motion a cycle of renewal, community-building and civic engagement. Since 1989, we have rehabilitated more than 1270 homes and 227 facilities serving tens of thousands of people. Hundreds of civic-minded companies, religious and community groups support the work we do with financial and in-kind resources.
RTSF is a local affiliate of Rebuilding Together, a national organization that includes 195 affiliates serving 500 communities nationwide, and mobilizing thousands of volunteers each year.
