Headquartered in West Sacramento, California, RCAC serves 13 western states, including Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii , Idaho , Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. The organization employs more than 100 staff. RCAC builds partnerships to expand resources for rural communities. Core services include training, technical assistance and financing.
RCAC provides a wide range of community development services for rural and Native American communities and community-based organizations. RCAC's major program areas are affordable housing development , environmental infrastructure development and community development finance. In addition, RCAC offers leadership and economic development training and technical assistance.
RCAC is a certified Community Development Financial Institution, and its Loan Fund provides financing for affordable housing, community facilities, and water and wastewater systems.
