Founded in 1989, Project Kesher is one of the fastest growing advocacy and human rights organizations in Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Georgia with a grassroots movement of 165 Jewish women's groups and more than 90 multi-ethnic, multi-religious coalitions of women that span 9 time zones. Project Kesher programs give Jews in the region the opportunity to reclaim their Jewish heritage and to discover the power of community activism. Project Kesher provides innovative leadership training programs for women and girls; Jewish educational programs; Torahs to communities where there were none; job training at ORT/Keshernet computer centers; and social activist programming that addresses domestic violence, human trafficking, women's health issues, anti-semitism and other forms of religious and ethnic intolerance.
