ICU stands for Intensive Care Unit, just like in a hospital. ICU is a communication tool, a shared, school-wide document that tracks missing student assignments.
Although teachers are the ones in charge of grading, apathetic students often feel powerful and in control. The ICU helps reverse this by building an army of support behind the teachers, instead of the students, and eventually even the students switch sides.
