The company is called POS Portal, so what’s that big ‘P2’ logo doing to the left? It’s a good question really, even some of the folks that have done business with us these past 11 years still don’t know. What those that have worked with us do know is that we never quit. We never quit innovating. We never stop improving. We never end our commitment to amazing service, and we never give up making sure that we’ve got the best products and services (most of which we make ourselves) in the industry.
What industry is that you ask? Well it’s the merchant acquiring industry. At this point some of you know what I’m talking about, while others are now more confused than ever. So for those that know, move on. For everyone else, sit tight, here we go. The merchant-acquiring industry at large is best understood in the context of credit card use in a typical retail purchase transaction. There are several stages in the transaction flow involving cardholders and their banks on the one side, merchants and their banks on the other, and a payment network in the middle that coordinates the flow of information and money underlying the transaction.
Where do we fit in? Everywhere. We make software. Software that handles transactions, software that pays residuals, and software that keeps it all secure. Most importantly, we make software that helps everyone in the industry manage it all. Plus, there’s the terminals themselves. Don't forget we also distribute, deploy, rent, and refurbish those too.
