The Porto Antico di Genova area was restored to the city by architect Renzo Piano's redevelopment project, which was designed to regenerate life on the piers and wharves of the old port area with cultural, leisure and commercial activities, restaurants and areas for rest and relaxation. Magazzini del Cotone is located here; originally built in the early twentieth century to store goods, it is now a multi-functional facility that is also home to the Conference Centre.
The conference division of Porto Antico di Genova S.p.A., operates the Magazzini del Cotone conference facility (Cotton Warehouses). With 11 modular rooms with 17 different setup, it is the ideal location for conferences, exhibitions, shows and cultural events.
The Auditorium seats up to 1,480 people and can be divided into two identical conference rooms: the Maestrale and Grecale each seating 740. When used as a single hall, the Auditorium has a central stage which can be raised and lowered.
The versatile meeting rooms offer a wide range of seating capacities (260, 170, 140, 120, 100 and 30 seats) and the vast exhibition space (over 8500 sqm) is easily adaptable to the most diverse set up requirements. The surrounding areas are available for outdoor collateral activities.
The Conference Centre is fitted with the most advanced audio and video equipment combines state-of-the-art technological solutions and the charm of the historical building.
