Founded in 1988, PLI is a manufacturer of specialty printed plastic and paper products and the world's largest manufacturer of hotel keycards. The company works with clients worldwide, including most major hotel chains as well as retailers, restaurants, attractions, fun centers, sports commissions and event planners, producing hundreds of millions of products annually. In 2008, PLI expanded its role in the loyalty- and gift-card market with the purchase of PLI Gift & Loyalty (formerly PlastiCard+Plus) in Nashville, TN.
PLI is headquartered in Asheville, NC. It is a member of the International Card Manufacturers Association (ICMA).
