PHOTONIS is a market leader in electro-optic detection. We design and manufacture enabling technologies for night vision and a wide range of industrial, scientific and medical applications. Our primary focus is the development of leading detection technologies where the sensitivity of light, ions, electrons, and x-rays are critical to the understanding of our environment, our universe, our safety or our health.
PHOTONIS is headquarted in Merignac, France, with manufacturing locations in France, Netherlands and the US with additional sales and distribution offices around the globe. Together, we generated over 165M Euro in 2010, and employ over 1100 people.
We manufacture proprietary low-light imaging optics for use in night vision rifles, goggles, and scopes and are deployed in militaries around the globe. We are leaders in space research detection components, and have products installed on most space telescopes in use today. Our superior detection of low-light, x-ray, and VUV supports a wide range of high-energy physics research and our detectors are installed in most major physics research labs, including CERN.
PHOTONIS is the market leader in electron and ion detection and transport, and are the primary supplier of detectors and patented ion transport components to the mass spectrometry industry as well as homeland security. We offer the widest range of fast photonic timing components available on the market, including a 2010 PRISM award for Photonic Innovation.
