Pegasus Project is a PATH Premier Accredited Center. Founded in 2003, Pegasus Project began at Snow Mountain Ranch in Cowiche, WA as a pilot project with seven riders with special needs and one instructor. Due to the observable benefits to the riders, the organization continued to expand and ultimately moved to a new location, in 2006, to Tumbleweed Ranch in Yakima, WA. Pegasus Project now serves an average of 40 riders per week and has four PATH certified instructors to serve our rider base. Pegasus Project is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that relies heavily on the support from the Yakima Valley community. Our mission is to provide quality equine assisted, therapeutic and adaptive riding to people with special physical and emotional needs to improve their health and well being.
