Since 1982, Paint Creek Center for the Arts has been dedicated to enhancing life in the region by promoting, encouraging and creating opportunities to participate in and appreciate the arts. This is accomplished through a full range of cultural programs including exhibitions, studio art classes, outreach programs, community involvement projects, and the annual Art & Apples Festival.
PCCA’s exhibition season includes approximately six group shows in its Main Gallery and eight solo exhibits in the First Floor Gallery with nearly 250 professional artists participating. Art education classes are offered year-round in a variety of media for all ages and levels of experience with drawing, painting, clay, photography, and summer camps as the core of its programming. In addition, PCCA awards two $1000 college scholarships annually to promising high school seniors from Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties planning to further their fine art studies.
PCCA may be best known for producing the nationally acclaimed National City Art & Apples Festival, Michigan’s second largest juried fine arts fair. Now celebrating its 44th year the festival features over 250 exhibiting artists and draws more than 125,000 visitors over the 3-day event.
PCCA programs reach many different segments of the region and serve as tools for community enhancement and economic development by improving quality of life and drawing visitors to the area. PCCA is an important cultural resource and destination in the Rochester region's diverse and growing business and residential community.
