We offer services to the conservation profession and all those responsible for the care and maintenance of historic buildings. This covers a variety of structures and environments including scheduled ancient monuments, listed buildings and graveyards.
Our conservation section is directed by accredited conservator Michael Sheppard who is experienced in the conservation of stone, interior decorative schemes, plasters and the use of lime. Other traditional materials often found in historic structures are included for assessment and treatment.
Practical conservation treatments and documentation services are available to support the work of conservation professionals or independent clients. Smaller elements of work can also be delegated to NSE Contracts if you require specific cleaning or conservation trials.
We also offer condition surveys, technical reports, recording services, health and safety information and the ability to liaise with contractors to support consultants and managers as well as individual conservators. With experience in managing large and small projects, Michael Sheppard has developed clear and concise methods of documentation and recording to provide organisation and structure to any project. CITB SMSTS site management is also available to contractors responsible for conservation projects.
