The Noisette Company acts as Master Developer, designing and implementing the vision, vertical development and infrastructure zoning for the Navy Yard at Noisette, a portion of the former Charleston, SC Naval Base.
In addition, Noisette acts as Property Management, leasing and maintaining existing buildings and properties to more then 80 businesses at the Navy Yard and also acts as Community Builder, sharing the Noisette Vision and reconnecting the community with the former Naval Base through, programs, events and community outreach with the Noisette Foundation. The Noisette Foundation is a community nonprofit that heals the social, economic and environmental fabric of the community long-term.
The Navy Yard is the new urban core for the Charleston region, with sustainability as its core principle. It is combining the latest in sustainable infrastructure practices. The redevelopment of existing historic navy structures paired with future buildings, will create a dramatic visual backdrop for the inhabitants. Strong meanings can be derived from the history of the Old Naval Base, an important economic and social engine for the place and region. Its prominence will re-emerge, demonstrating a replicable model for sustainable urban strategies where nature, commerce and habitation establish equity, effectively playing out the Triple Bottom Line concept.
Noisette also crafted The Noisette Community Master Plan which is a Sustainable vision for the 3,000-acre historic center of the City of North Charleston, South Carolina. The plan was prepared under the direction of Noisette, with important contributions from many North Charleston Citizens and government agencies, from professional organization and non profit associations, and other interested parties.
