Introduction
The New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (NZCCHK) was founded in 1992 to promote the New Zealand economic presence in Hong Kong. Since then the continued increases in people, capital and trade flows between New Zealand, Hong Kong and the People’s Republic of China have all been factors in the Chamber's activities. The Chamber presently has over 165 members, comprising individuals and corporate nominees.
Objectives
The objectives of the Chamber are to provide a forum between New Zealand, Hong Kong and China business executives to:
Discuss and promote business ideas;
Create a supportive and encouraging business environment;
Assist individuals and companies seeking to increased business, trade or investment;
Promote and expand the business and general awareness of New Zealand;
Establish and maintain relationships with other business organisations;
Monitor business, political, economic and legal developments; and
Maintain relationships with agencies associated with the development of trading links.
