The New Haven County Bar Association is a not-for-profit professional organization of over 1,400 New Haven area attorneys, judges and paralegals that provides a wide variety of services to its members as well as programs for the Greater New Haven community.
The Bar Association works to support its members by offering continuing legal education and new attorney mentoring opportunities, encourages professionalism, sponsors committees, public service activities and several annual social events, and fosters relations between its members and the courts. It also runs the New Haven County Lawyer Referral Service and organizes Law Day activities for the community on or around May 1st each year.
Membership is open to any attorney or other legal professional who meets established membership criteria.
The Bar Association works closely with its charitable arm, the New Haven County Bar Foundation, Inc., to provide community grants and public programming.
