NFCR funds discovery-type scientific cancer research. It was co-founded in 1973 in Bethesda, Maryland, by a Nobel Laureate and a local area businessman to help fund cancer research scientists seeking to discover the causes of and cures for cancer. NFCR has contributed over $275 million to date to fund vital cancer research.
