In 1985, Michael Schuster founded MSA Architects with the intention of making a “better firm.” He wanted a firm where clients and staff were treated with loyalty and respect. MSA Architects has grown from a single practitioner to a firm of 34 employees in two offices,one in Downtown Cincinnati and one located in Downtown Columbus. This growth has come as a result of a passion for our work, our clients, and our Cities.
Our work is categorized in the core markets of Education, Corporate, Lifestyle, Sport, Government, Religious and Branded Environments. The latest trends in each market transpose category lines, allowing for the latest advances in design and planning to be applied to any project in any market. Much of our work consists of multi-use facilities in which we are able to incorporate attributes of many markets into one site. Our diversity has allowed us to not only stay varied in our experience, but also nimble in our execution while being uniquely creative for every project.
Our firm’s unique beginning has taught us two vital lessons for success. The first is that our Principals and Project Managers are never generalists. They are true experts in their focus markets. The second is our absolute dedication to creating outstanding and creative designs in response to our client’s needs. Customer service is in our DNA - we are passionate about creating life-long relationships. Anything less is unacceptable. We love what we do.
