  For people who need to check/compare large amounts of data, this is the tool. Unix is faster but way less flexible and easy to use. With that said I also have Macro Scheduler make my Unix scripts and take simple syntax mistakes of the equation for mission critical tasks. This is an ideal tool to put a control wrapper around many different script languages and maximize the benefits of all your tools.

  Yesterday I wrote a 9-line script that copies over the Tnsnames.ora file from a DB-Server to client VMs (8 in total) and tests the connection. I saved at least 2-3 minutes per machine, for a 5 min investment. =) Now leverage that concept and apply it to something big, like verifying records written to a database, and you can save hours on the mundane and tedious… Solid company and solid product; I’ll never regret my decision to go with Macro Scheduler for our QA test automation.
