The Liv-ex Fine Wine Exchange is the world’s leading online marketplace for fine wine.
Exchange membership includes the world’s major trade buyers and sellers, including merchants, brokers, retailers, importers, exporters and wine funds.
As a global exchange, Liv-ex has members in 33 countries across six continents. It is estimated that together they account for more than three-quarters of global fine wine turnover.
The exchange is regulated by the membership committee, which is made up of appointed members of the trade and Liv-ex management. The committee vets new members and sets the exchange’s rules. Every trade on Liv-ex is governed by a pre-agreed trading contract.
The bulk of Liv-ex transactions are in French wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne and the Rhone, but not exclusively so. The top labels from Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal and the New World are also traded.
