It all started with an egg...
My Dad was never a scrooge, but he just smiled when I asked him for some pocket money. I was only about eleven. That afternoon, he arrived with seven newly hatched chicks. We spent the whole afternoon building a chicken coup. That my friends, was my first construction project. And my very first business was, selling eggs.
I was too chicken to ever ask for pocket money again...
Soon I came to know a lot about production and profit. My business was growing and I now had 19 hens. But the quality was suffering. I couldn’t keep up, the eggs were piling up without being sold, I wasn’t earning. Hens started getting diseased. And before I knew it, I was down to 4 hens. My business had failed.
I then learnt a very important lesson in life
The need to nurture and really care for what helps you earn. Fifteen dead hens later, I realised that I hadn’t provided adequate care and protection to my source of income. And yes since then, I’ve been to university and obtained a qualification.
And yes I’ve built up experience as a Chartered civil engineer. And started a building business. But I’ve never forgotten those core values from my early days. And for my clients this has now become our GREEN BOX system of TOTAL CARE AND PROTECTION.
