Before J.D. Byrider opened in 1989, we had no cars. What we did have was a decade of experience in car sales, and an idea of how things could be done differently.
And we had a vision, a core philosophy: We didn’t want anxiety in the showroom. We didn’t want distrust. And we didn’t want failure in our relationships with customers.
We wanted satisfied customers. And, we wanted to serve customers with special financing needs who were routinely being ignored by other dealers. So we branded our own automobile financing company, CNAC, and placed it right in the dealership for quick credit approval.
And, to make sure that the customer received the same quality service in every locally owned and operated J.D. Byrider franchise dealership, we developed Byrider AutoTech Advantage, an industry recognized computerized operating system; daily customer satisfaction monitoring; and a revolutionary customer risk evaluation system.
Today, we’re headquartered in Carmel, Indiana, just outside Indianapolis, and our business model has attracted some of the industry’s brightest and most innovative executives.
Now there are 127 J.D. Byrider dealerships across the nation, owned by either franchisees or the company, and we’ve sold more than 750,000 vehicles since we began. Every month, more than 5,000 people—many of them repeat customers or referrals—come into our dealerships and trust us with their business.
So now we have cars. They’re some of the best five to ten year old cars on the market. More important, we also have the satisfied customers we envisioned back in 1989. We take pride in our high customer satisfaction ratings. In a business full of distrust, our customers trust us.
