The International Student Energy Summit (ISES) is a global, multi-disciplinary forum for students to discuss their role in the transition to a sustainable energy future. ISES is the marquis event of Student Energy, a global not-for-profit that aims to educate, inspire and unite young leaders in energy.
ISES is empowering the next generation of energy leaders that will support the global transition towards a sustainable energy future.
The inaugural ISES was hosted by the University of Calgary in 2009 and brought over 350 students from 30 countries together to learn from experts such as Vicente Fox, Jeremy Rifkin and David Keith. The second ISES was hosted by the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and brought over 400 students from 35 countries together with renowned leaders in energy including Rajendra Pachauri, Dianne Dillon-Ridgely and Mark Jaccard.
