The Institute spearheads certification, standards, education and research in Ireland and is recognised internationally as the leading Irish organisation for the promotion of project management. It has developed and published the Project Management Competence Baseline for Ireland and has certified in excess of 2,000 project management professionals in the IPMA internationally recognised 4 level certification system.
The Institute is ideally positioned to understand the needs of the project management market. It was founded in 1989 to help individuals and organisations in both the public and private sectors to develop a knowledge of and high-quality capability in project management and to provide a focal point and mechanism for the development and promotion of Project Management in Ireland on a professional basis.
