Perspectives on contemporary art in China and beyond
ifa gallery exhibits contemporary art from Asia with a focus on contemporary Chinese artists, South-East Asian artists and international artists based in or associated with Asia. The gallery has been representing both established and emerging artists since it's beginning in 2006 and presents works of all medium including painting, photography, drawing, video, installation and performance art.
Initially based in M50, the gallery moved and is now housed in a charming residence from the 1920s that was previously the home of a British official of the Customs House. The 200 square metre exhibition spaces span four levels. The gallery offers an innovative and artistic angle to the central part of the city and acts as an artistic meeting point for contemporary art in Shanghai.
