ID Technology is present in Italy since 1994, when the first office in Milan was opened.

The activity begins with the realization of projects of Document Management and Library Automation System based on BASIS (hours Livelink Collections Server) and applications for the management of libraries Livelink for Libraries of Open Text Corporation.
The experience and capabilities of the team of consultants and developers, working together since 1986 in the Information Society Dimension, combined with the potential of the software, allow to stand at once on the national scene, both as private organizations and public.

Since 1998 ID Technology has been Affinity Partner Open Text Corporation to support the entire Italian territory Livelink solutions.
With the emergence and spread of Web technologies, ID Technology has moved to the market of Knowledge Management and e-Learning.

Between 2000 and 2001 ID Technology develops and provides to Open Text two additional modules for the management of distance learning and management of internal expertise, Livelink Skills Management, and Livelink Learning Management.

The modules are included in the products of Open Text and are still distributed throughout the global market.

In the same years are opened offices in Rome and Cosenza, the latter with staff dedicated to Research and Development of innovative solutions.

In 2003 ID Technology, on basis of its experience, and of its new visibility over Open Source technologies, releases SILK, a modular platform for Knowledge Management and Business Process Management, developed in Java EE technologies.

In recent years, ID Technology has strengthened its expertise and experience in the area of Open Source solutions with emphasis on Content Management platforms, and Digital Archives.
