The Houston Eating Disorders Center, serving Houston and surrounding communities. Our mission is to offer excellence in treatment in a caring and dignified environment and to serve as a comprehensive center for outpatient services for those suffering from eating disorders in the greater Houston area.
HEDC has been established to provide intermediate levels of care to patients who can benefit from outpatient treatment, but need more intensive support than individual therapy alone. We take a collaborative, compassionate approach with the patient, their family and existing members of their treatment team.
This level of care may be appropriate for patients who have completed an inpatient or residential program who want to ensure that the progress they have made can be maintained in their home environment. It may also be appropriate for individuals who have been unable to maintain healthy eating behavior with individual therapy alone.
