Halsted Corporation, a member of FIBCA and TBPA, is one of the largest importers of woven polypropylene bags in the United States. Established in 1876, we have been manufacturing textile bags for agricultural and industrial packaging since our inception. In 1980, we responded to increasing price pressures by beginning an import program for some of our polypropylene products. Although we still manufacture textile bags today in Jersey City, over 80% of our sales are attributed to imported bags and materials.
Our strength is in providing a comprehensive purchasing program for packaging distributors and bag companies. We do not solicit end-users. We have no salespeople competing with your staff. What we do have is a knowledgeable in-house support team to help you compete in this market.
We handle the sourcing, quality control, financing, transportation logistics, U.S. Customs entries and even the warehousing and distribution for your imported bags. Our staff is actually present several times per year in all of the factories we buy from – a crucial element in our successful relationships with suppliers.
