The membership of the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce represents the entire community with members from business and industry, private associations, civic organizations, homebased businesses, social service agencies, education, government, and individuals. Over 1,200 member firms, representing over 1,900 individuals, believe Chamber membership is one of the best ways to help develop jobs in our community and grow their businesses!
The purpose of GO Topeka is to develop, promote, and initiate activities that transform Topeka/Shawnee County into a world class community of choice, creating prosperity for business, labor, and management.
Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) programs has helped to create new jobs and new businesses for people who are socially and economically disadvantaged in the community. DBE programs and services are available to virtually any small Topeka or Shawnee County business. The DBE programs focus on minorities, women, and small-business entrepreneurs. A key DBE economic development goal is to nurture and support successful job creation for all Topeka and Shawnee County citizens.
