FreshStart Living is a property development company which specialises in renovating derelict buildings in prime locations into properties sold on to investors at well below the market value.
What started as a small company with just five staff in 2009 has quickly blossomed and FreshStart now employs close to 100 dedicated staff at its headquarters in Swinton, Greater Manchester. To date FreshStart has successfully completed a number of developments in city centre locations across the UK and has numerous sites currently under construction and in the pipeline.
One thing all of FreshStart’s properties have in common is they take advantage of the lack of affordable rents in popular, central locations. Tenants, whether they are young professionals, couples, families, students, key workers or even businesses are always on the lookout for more affordable rents and because FreshStart’s properties are developed in such a cost effective way, it allows investors to charge lower than average rents whilst still generating high net yields. This creates a very high demand for our property.
For example, FreshStart Living currently develops student halls of residence in popular University cities across the UK. Rents at FreshStart halls are typically £30 to £40 a week lower than its nearest competitors.
The recent appointments of Charlie Cunningham as chief executive officer and Oliver Lightowlers as chief financial officer mark another major milestone in FreshStart’s history.
