The European Society of Cardiology (ESC) represents 70,000 cardiology professionals across Europe and the Mediterranean. The ESC comprises 5 Associations, 5 Councils, 19 Working Groups and 52 National Cardiac Societies. It also includes the distinguished community of ESC Fellows and Nurse Fellows.
The mission of the European Society of Cardiology is to reduce the burden of cardiovascular disease in Europe. The ESC achieves this mission through educational activities and publications for cardiology professionals, including: The publishing of 8 leading scientific journals, such as the European Heart Journal and the organisation of major conferences on cardiology, such as the ESC CONGRESS the world's largest cardiology meeting, gathering up to 30,000 professionals every year.
