What Esri Employees are Saying...
-
Esri encourages its employees to apply and grow their natural talents within the company by providing an environment for constant learning and refinement of technical skills. I’ve had many opportunities domestically and internationally to help organizations apply GIS and improve their ability to solve problems in a spatial way. I originally came to Esri because I wanted to work for a global leader in the GIS industry. I know that I will stay here because of the positive effect I’ve seen Esri have on the world.

Working with Esri has been very rewarding for me both personally and professionally. Esri has a tradition of challenging its staff to be innovative and creative in the software industry and the field of GIS. As part of this culture, we have ample opportunity to work with bleeding edge technologies that I would otherwise not have access to in a typical software organization. This creates many exciting challenges in my day-to-day work and keeps me going strong knowing that I will always have an opportunity to learn and grow.

What makes me excited about working at Esri is the fact that as a part of the sales organization I really get to make a difference. In my role as the Retail Sales Manager, I get to be involved in a lot of different activities, all with a core mission to help retailers achieve their business objectives. My job allows me to be engaged with customers, my staff, and other members of the broader Esri team to think divergently and deliver solutions that really have an impact.

Esri's Green Initiatives
Esri has established several ongoing programs to help save our planet and create a more sustainable future.
--Solar rooftop panels have been installed on several buildings at the main campus in Redlands.
--In line with its goal to be carbon neutral, Esri maintains a fleet of electric vehicles and reduces cooling costs with strategically planted shade trees.
--Esri regularly donates trees and horticultural materials to local schools and parks.
--Many Esri employees carpool, walk, or ride their bikes to work and receive incentives for the first three months they participate.
--"Eat Local" is held in the Esri cafe; once a month, offering an assortment of California-grown fruits and vegetables for sale. (Produce grown out of state and in other countries requires more oil to deliver.)
--Esri industry and GIS publications are now also available online, which many subscribers prefer.
