Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility
Ericsson Response
It is a volunteer initiative that deploys employees and emergency communication equipment to support the partnering aid agencies in times of disaster.
We supported 40 different relief efforts in more than 30 countries primarily by setting up mobile networks for voice and data communication.
Connect To Learn
It is a public-private partnership that uses ICT solutions to promote access and quality of secondary school education and provides scholarships especially for girls. It is a collaborative effort between Ericsson, the Earth Institute and Millennium Promise. Achieving universal education and gender equality are key development challenges.
Refugees United
In 2010 Ericsson joined with Refugees United, the UNHCR and MTN to develop a mobile phone application so refugees can register to search for a loved one via an anonymous database. The Refugees United project builds on Ericsson’s decades of experience to deliver connectivity to the African continent.
