It’s a simple idea, a ground operated system that raises, secures and lowers display and lighting at height which can be used by in-house staff to reduce the use of access equipment and reduce costs, administration and disruption.
The first EcoRIG systems were designed to raise and lower large format graphics in department stores and shopping centres. We soon noticed the architectural trend in new developments for double height windows, atria areas, balconies, escalator voids and stairwells and we identified the challenges this presented to retailers who wanted to optimise these areas to increase the value of the space.
We began developing a range of solutions that would offer a cost-effective and viable method of installing and maintaining visual merchandising, props, decorations and other 3D collateral. The systems were designed to be safe and simple to use so that more staff could be trained to operate them and allow retailers to change display schemes more frequently to merchandise more lines, update window schemes more regularly and to improve the consistency of their offer through out their estate.
To increase the versatility of the range we developed a method of running power through the systems so that they can be used for lighting. Chandeliers, pendant lights and lighting tracks, can now be lowered and raised at a touch of a button for easier maintenance and cleaning.
