What can you say about growth and leadership opportunities at Eaton?

What can you say about the people who work at Eaton?
If I would use two adjectives to describe the people who work at Eaton, I would use passionate and available. At Eaton, you have the incredible possibility to work in partnership with all hierarchical levels. Everybody is always available in order to help you to learn and progress without relation with your seniority. This is mainly due to the fact that people within Eaton are not focusing on their one career progression but on the general progression of the company.
What is your favorite part about working at Eaton and what makes our company unique?
My favorite part about working at Eaton is this kind of global spirit that you can find everywhere. Even if our company is extremely diversified and present in more than 150 countries, you can find the same passion and the same pride where ever you go.

What can you say about the people who work at Eaton?
...we are down-to-earth, unpretentious and we get things done and in the right way. Some other traits prevalent in the Eaton culture and in Eaton employees are our focus on continuous improvement and our sense of corporate social responsibility.
Where do you think Eaton is going in the next decade?
I am based in Asia Pacific so I’ll speak for my region – Eaton has undergone tremendous growth in recent years. We moved into our new Asia Pacific regional HQ building in 2009, which we soon outgrew and we added an adjacent building in 2011. Half a year ago we set-up a new state-of-the-art plant in China for our vehicle business, and we are constantly on the lookout for companies to acquire. When I talk to candidates, I often tell them we are not hiring them to handle the current business size, but we are looking at their runway to grow and manage a business scope that is multiples of the size we have today.

Eaton invests a tremendous amount of time and resources into the search for talented individuals to join our organization. The result is a diverse group of highly skilled individuals who truly fit the culture of Eaton. The level of professionalism that exists among our employees is unparalleled, and I know that my co-workers truly love the work that they do. This makes it easy to recruit new hires, because I know that they will be in good company, no matter what part of the organization they join.
Where do you think Eaton is going in the next decade?
Eaton has set itself up for success in several key industries, which allows the company to grow, even in challenging economic times. At Eaton, “doing business right” isn’t just a company goal – it is the foundation on which the organization is built. Eaton has been successful for 100 years, and as long as we stay true to that philosophy, I know that Eaton will continue to thrive.

I have the unique opportunity to work with executives across each of our business groups and the consistency of the leadership and the goals we have established inspire and challenge us to bring our best every day.
Where do you think Eaton is going in the next decade?
Looking back at the past decade Eaton has undergone tremendous growth on a global level, while also expanding our product and solutions offering in the Power Management space. I believe the next decade will hold much of the same, while continuing to be a leader in green energy technologies.
What can you say about growth and leadership opportunities at Eaton?
It’s great to work for a company that makes employee growth and career development one of its core principles. Whether it be supporting the pursuit of an advanced degree or providing opportunities for stretch assignments, the leadership teams take an active part in this process.

What can you say about the people who work at Eaton?
First of all everyone at Eaton is a professional who is working with passion and drive. This kind of atmosphere is very comfortable and extremely motivating. More senior colleague are willing and not afraid to act as mentors which makes lives of younger employees much easier and exciting.
What is your favorite part about working at Eaton and what makes our company unique?
My favorite part is that I get to be a small part of company which makes something good for our world. It does feel good and right to work for an employer who is not indifferent to the environment, nature and world in general.

The people I interviewed with were the main factors for me selecting to Eaton. I remember leaving at the end of my interview day thinking, “Those are people who I really would enjoy working with.” And I still feel the same. We hire great people.
Where do you think Eaton is going in the next decade?
I think we will continue to differentiate ourselves as a power management company and will be externally known as an innovative and responsive company. And internally I think we will be known as a company that provides great career opportunities.
What is your favorite part about working at Eaton and what makes our company unique?
Eaton is unique because of our culture. Everyone seems to be on the same page. We understand the vision that we have as a company and we all work together to keep the company moving in the right direction.
