Earthmind is an international mission-driven professional network. Our mission is to enhance synergies for sustainability.
Our vision of sustainability is a synergistic balance between human activities and our planet's natural systems. It comes from Kenneth Boulding's path-breaking concept of "spaceship earth." For Kenneth, sustainability required the transformation of our increasingly globalised "cowboy" society into a "spaceman" society. As he put it back in the 1960s: "We cannot have cowboys and Indians in a space ship, or even a cowboy ethic."
We work with private companies, government agencies, NGOs, and international organisations providing strategic policy advice and project development and implementation.
Earthmind engages with a broad range of partners. In some cases, the engagement is contractual; in others it is voluntary. In all cases, the engagement aims to promote synergies for sustainability. In the private sector Earthmind works with companies such as Credit Suisse, Danone, Eon, Shell and Total.
Earthmind has also partnered with international and national public sector organisations such as: The CBD, The EC, The EIB, The ILO,The UNCC... etc
Furthermore, Earthmind has partnered with several academic and environmental not-for-profits, notably with IUCN. These include the World Land Trust, Duke University, CEM, CEESP, SSC, WCPA and many more.
