With almost 13 years under my belt, I've been at Deloitte longer than with any other organization. I joined Deloitte Consulting, as a principal, after a variety of careers, including teaching high school history and serving as the Chief Marketing Officer for a NYSE-listed corporation.
Why have I stayed? Because every time that I think about something that I want to do, I've been able to find a way to do it at Deloitte. I enjoy the camaraderie of the work most. At the end of an audit season, you might be putting in long hours to reach the goal you've worked for all year, but you're never alone. There are ten or so others who started out as colleagues and have become some of my closest friends through these shared experiences.

I’m a passionate supporter of adult literacy organizations and enjoy mentoring young professionals. Working at Deloitte allows me to participate in programs like the Deloitte National Leadership Conference, which brings together select college students and Deloitte professionals to participate in career development workshops and activities. The conference gives me a great chance to connect with colleagues from other functions and to help some incredibly talented college students develop their careers.

Golf has always been a huge part of my life. When I was very young my dad taught me how to swing a club in our backyard, and now I play every weekend and on some of the most challenging courses in the country (and Deloitte's health and fitness subsidy even helps with the green fees).
When I joined Deloitte FAS, I was given the opportunity to specialize in providing valutaion and consulting servies for golf and recreational properties. The behind-the-scences view not only gave me a deep understanding into how some of the championship courses are owned and operated, but a new appreciation for the game and industry I love as a whole. I'm very fortunate because I combine a rewarding career with my favorite game.
