Cryoguard Corporation manufactures a line of subzero temperature sensors called Cryoguard Thermal Exposure Indicators. The company is a leader in quality control for cryogenic materials.
Cryoguard Corporation was founded in 1984 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It is a division of Controlled Chemicals Inc. Contact us at (734) 769-5940 or customer_service@cryoguard.com.
Our temperature sensors are used to monitor the shipping and storage of cryopreserved materials. They irreversibly change color from green to red when they encounter temperatures above their preset signal temperature. Signal temperatures include: -40, -70, -100 and -120 degrees Celsius. Choose an indicator with a signal temperature 30 degrees higher than the environment you wish to monitor (our lowest model, the M120, monitors environments at or below -150 degrees Celsius).
Cryoguard indicators are used to monitor:
embryos
sperm
oocytes
stem cells
bone grafts
heart valves
adhesives for aerospace applications & more!
Customers include:
hospitals
fertility centers
animal breeders
cellular therapy companies
cord blood banks
universities
adhesive manufacturers & more!
Cryoguard Corporation’s owners invented the indicators in response to a request from U.S. Navy scientists. Navy researchers wanted to develop a temperature sensor that could ensure the quality of blood products being shipped to the battlefield. Over the years, the indicators have proved useful for a broad range of medical and commercial applications.
