The Crash Coalition (TCC), originally the Black Nail Brigade, is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Foundation Against Negligent & Reckless Drivers.
TCC was founded in memory of Anita Zaffke, rear-ended & killed on her motorcycle May 2, 2009 by a motorist who was painting their nails while driving (Nail Polish Crash).
TCC's mission is to increase motorist awareness of the pandemic of distracted driving that plagues our streets emphasizing the reality of the death and destruction it causes.
We are working toward the launch of a traveling, interactive distracted driving exhibit (including realistic simulators) that can reach a mass audience in an interesting & powerful way at auto shows, state/county fairs, high schools & colleges, drivers education courses, etc.
TCC will serve as an advocacy group for the victims & their families affected by another motorist's negligence or recklessness.
TCC will tirelessly work toward legislative reform and raising awareness to create stronger laws for law enforcement and prosecutors that will stand as effective, legal deterrents for these dangerous driving behaviors.
Through our membership program, C.R.A.S.H. volunteer representatives will attend court cases around the country to support victims, monitor the cases & create an effective database so we may be able to get more media interest & provide important information for legislators & others, just as early DUI advocates did by monitoring Restricted Driving Permit situations.
