The second largest law association in Ontario, the CCLA was formed in Ottawa in 1888 by a group of 60 lawyers. This professional association was originally formed to provide a law library for its members.
Today, this not-for-profit association, not only continues to provide quality research and library services, but has grown to become a leading organization, committed to offering its members advocacy, legal education and guidance in the ongoing challenges facing the profession.
The CCLA is governed by a volunteer board of lawyers from all practice areas and represents all sizes of firms.
