We provide rapid access to robust independent advice and interventions that enable managers to make crisp decisions regarding impact of ill health on their employees and their ability to work.
In today’s economic environment organisations require a work force to deliver optimal productivity – COPE provides organisations with the tools to deliver optimal productivity in relation to health
Managers control business and with our help and advice they can create working environments that prevent ill health (physical or mental) from occurring in the first place - currently there is much debate regarding well being of the work force with a lack of evidence as to what interventions are truly effective except for one and that is fitness! The key is for managers to encourage the unfit members of their work force to become moderately fit - folks do not have to be super fit. Regular visits are not required to the gym - three brisk ten minute walks a day can enable a person to be moderately fit and their risk of morbidity and co morbidity can be cut virtually in half! Moderately fit people are more resilient to mental and physical exposures from within work and outside of work and can retain their ability to provide productive work through retirement age and beyond
Other interventions can be of value but these need to be specifically targeted to those people who have a condition – blanket well being education programmes do not appear to be effective – except fitness of course!
