The CLMC actively markets the benefits of hiring union construction contractors and trades people through the creation of Building Advantage – an organization comprised of over 20,000 trades people, 600 contractors and six management associations throughout Wisconsin.
The primary role of Building Advantage is to promote the benefits of union construction and create awareness that union contractors and trades people are the best choice in the industry. Our members represent a higher standard of excellence thanks to their excellent training, commitment to continuing education and high safety standards.
From the local unions who train and provide exceptional benefits for the workers to the contractors that hire our members to the customers who provide the work, each section of our industry understands that we are only as good as each other allows us to be. Working together to help all sides of the business gives our customers confidence that their projects will be completed on time and on budget.
Building Advantage sees great potential in working directly with general contractors, subcontractors, their associations, labor leaders, politicians, community members and customers to develop solid relationships that will benefit construction projects from the bidding process all the way through the building process.
