Community Sound [e]Scapes( http://soundescapes.improvcommunity.ca/ ) is a research project hosted by the Improvisation, Community, and Social Practice Major Collaborative Research Initiative, based at the University of Guelph in Canada. It involves a number of groups in Canada, Northern Ireland and Australia. The project aims to explore how communities interact with place through sound by initiating a series of workshop programs and developing an online environment for mixing recorded sound live. The project's first stage will be completed September 2010.
