Citizens Bank of Shelbyville opened its doors in 1888. The Bank merged with Bank of Simpsonville in 1970 and took on the new name, Citizens Union Bank. Today CUB’s sixteen branch offices are scattered throughout seven counties of Kentucky, which include Shelby, Spencer, Bullitt, Jefferson, Oldham, Larue and Hardin Counties. CUB offers a wide range of banking services to meet every personal or business need. Its management team and staff, many whom are long-time employees, live in the communities they serve and understand their clients as they share a common heritage and values.
