Changeworks is a recognised leader in developing solutions that help individuals and groups reduce their impact on the environment. We are an environmental charity and a social enterprise. In addition to delivering one of Scotland's most successful recycling services to businesses, Changeworks advises householders, community groups and on how to reduce waste and energy use, and how to end fuel poverty.
The organisation has leading expertise in areas including renewable energy, energy modelling and behaviour change. This allows Changeworks to deliver trusted consultancy and training services for businesses, community groups and social landlords needing to improve sustainability by reducing CO2.
Recognised by the Scottish Green Awards for Best Public Service Provision in 2011, Changeworks delivers services across Scotland. We are represented on key strategic boards, including Zero Waste Scotland, and we co-ordinate the exchange and dissemination of information about sustainability among a range of stakeholders including the Scottish Government, third sector organisations and industry.

Changeworks We’ve calculated our carbon footprint for 2010/2011. Our organisation expended 509 tonnes of CO2e in 2010-11, that is the equivalent of 2.69 tonnes CO2e per full time equivalent member of staff. Changeworks Installing a solar photovoltaics (PV) system is now cheaper than ever before, and those who have the system installed can also access a Scottish Government-funded interest free loan to help cover the costs. The Energy Saving Trust is running two events this week in Fife to help people explore the possibility of fitting solar panelling to their home. The first is this afternoon at Scores Hotel in St. Andrews from 3:00pm–7:00pm. The second is on Thursday 19 January at Howe of Fife Rugby Club in Cupar from 3:00pm–7:00pm. -
